The brief was to devise a branding, marketing and public relations strategy for a 2010 business forum (first-ever) in Singapore, of who’s who in the business of two formidable geographical blocs in the world.
We had to bring Africa and its immense opportunities to Asia. More importantly, Aago had to change perceptions. We invited the Asian business community to discover Africa through a large re-drawn map of Africa (check out our re-drawn boundaries) – offering a host of economic prospects, with the headline invite “The world’s final frontier is now open for business”.
The result: A top-notch Asian line up of business heads meet a 100-strong top-ranking African business and political delegation. Media buzzing with our headline. An Asian business contingent heading to Toga – as a start. And a launch pad for the Africa-South East Asia Chamber of Commerce. The rest is history.
